giddygirlie asked: What was your favorite thing at Disneyland? I ASK THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS.
ACK! DISNEYLAND! My favorite thing at Disneyland WAS Disneyland. But okay, for reals, I loved every single thing. Not only did I love all the rides and attractions, but I loved how CLEAN they all were. I loved the immaculate grounds and all the plants and flowers that thrive effortlessly in California. I loved the parades- not only because it’s a pretty goddamned great parade when you’re dealing with an infinite budget, but also because I was all nostalgic and teary and shit (and I was completely sober so I think this was largely a function of the infinite budget mentioned previously, those rich fuckers are good.) But most of all, I loved watching my granddaughter just explode with joy for two straight days. Her little four-year-old self was FILLED with The Happy and it was clear her life could NOT get any better when we were watching her hug Tinkerbell or snarf down a whole thing of pink cotton candy or dance with my arm for twenty minutes in line for the Ariel ride.
So my favorite part about Disneyland is that it EXISTS, I think.

Also, I know the dudes who designed that parade and it’s the best. Not just because I know them but because they LOVE what they do and it shows. Every detail is a beautiful smack of nostalgia.
